Not sure what happened. Let me try this again.
I just celebrated my twins’ third birthday party. Every year that goes past is a milestone and a watershed event. I also have a six year old son and with my babies turning three I’m really trying to appreciate every moment. They’re all growing up so quickly.
Here are my babies at 1

Im a big classic rock fan. I love Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Moody Blues, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles to name a few.
Of the modern rock available on the market today my favorite is Tool, followed closely by Deftones and Queens of the Stone Age.

Overheard at the Book Study
by under_believer inhere are a few comments that i overheard at this week's book study (of the third chapter of the bible teach book), and the thoughts i had after hearing them: .
conductor: "as food shortages become more and more common as the time of the end advances, they will make excellent field service points since they were predicted by the bible.
me: great.

Me: Yeah that is amazing. Considering that a snake a) physically can't chew anything, b) is essentially a well-designed poison delivery system in many cases, and c) has a metabolism completely and totally adapted to breaking down animal proteins, what will it be eating in the New Order? Whole cobs of corn? Will we have to manufacture soy-based bacon bits for snakes? And WTF is a light aperture?
HaHaHaHeHeHe!!!!! Thanks for the laugh! Here's to more under_believer's book study revelations! Thanks for the laugh and this drinks for you.

Book Study Parties...New Trend ???
by Poztate in.
truthseeker just posted about the wt congregations discouraging large social gathering or parties.. in the last little while my wife has gone to a few "book study parties" and has commented that other book studies were doing the same.. it seemed a little strange to me that this was happening as most of her congregation seems cold and distant at the best of times.. i wonder if it is a new "program" started by the wt to hype up the old "brotherly love" thing.has anybody heard or seen this to be happening lately if you are still close enough to know?

I can recall a hand full of occasions that we had pizza, soda, chips and treats after a bookstudy. I would say that a handfull of times in 18 +/- years would hardly qualify as a trend. But of course thats going back 13 +/- years now so I'm hardly in a position to give my opinion.

Elder says no to congregation picnic: Brooklyn says no large gatherings
by truthseeker inour congregation has really gone down in recent months.
the friends don't talk to each other, there have been many disfellowshippings and jc's.. an elder i was talking to in the kh after the meeting says that "he and the other elders would like to have a congregation picnic but can't because bethel disapproves of large social gatherings.".
i looked at this elder and felt sorry for him - it was like hearing a child cry because mother wouldn't let him outside to play baseball.. the cong.

Bethel disapproves of large social gatherings."
If this were completely true then there wouldnt be any meetings now would there.
I agree that it is most likely a control issue. The WTS seems to have a morbid view that given just a tiny bit of opportunity, the friends are going to be dropping trousers and bopping one another with complete abandon. It's a sad lack of faith in the average publisher
Well said Seeker4. Bottom line is that if the WTBS doesn't control the itinerary they dont approve of the event. The poor misguided sheep would shurely develope critical thinking ability if left to their own devices.

Dont be suprised. I know I personally can only talk WTBS cult stuff for a short period before it looses my attention. A simple YO! greeting can go a long way.
